Heatmap

Tired of staring at spreadsheets? The Heatmap is one of our most powerful visual tools, designed to turn your complex LinkedIn ad performance data into a simple, color-coded grid. It helps you spot trends, patterns, and top performers in seconds.

How to Use the Heatmap

When you open the Heatmap, you'll see two main areas: the control panel at the top and the data grid below.

Step 1: Filter Your Data

First, use the control panel to tell Linklo exactly what data you want to see. You have several powerful filters:

  • Ad Account, Campaign Group, Campaign, Creative: You can start with a high-level view of an entire ad account or drill all the way down to compare individual ad creatives.
  • Date Range: Choose from presets like the last 30 days or select a custom date range to analyze a specific campaign period.
  • Metric Selector: This is where you choose what you want to measure. You can select multiple metrics at once, like Clicks, Impressions, and Cost per Result.

Step 2: Analyze the Grid

Once you've set your filters, the grid will instantly update. Here’s how to read it:

  • Color-Coded Cells: Each cell represents a data point. The color intensity makes it easy to spot high and low performers at a glance—darker shades mean higher values, and lighter shades mean lower values.
  • Actual Values: The exact number for the metric is displayed right in the cell, so you have precise data when you need it.
  • Day-of-Week Patterns: The grid is often organized by days of the week, helping you answer questions like, "Which day gets us the most clicks?" or "Is our cost per lead higher on weekends?"

Exporting Your Heatmap

Need to share your findings with your team or dive deeper into the numbers? You can easily export your data.

Look for the export buttons, usually near the top right of the grid. You have two options:

  1. Export to PNG: This saves a picture of the visual heatmap itself. It's perfect for dropping into presentations or reports.
  2. Export to CSV: This downloads the raw data into a spreadsheet file, allowing you to run your own calculations or import it into other tools.

The Heatmap is all about saving you time and helping you make smarter, data-driven decisions about your ad scheduling, budget, and creative strategy.
