Ad Performance

Are you running multiple ads within a campaign? The Ad Performance dashboard is your secret weapon for figuring out exactly which creatives are resonating with your audience and which ones are falling flat. It lets you compare individual ads side-by-side so you can make smart, data-driven decisions to improve your results.

How to Use the Ad Performance Dashboard

The dashboard is designed for you to drill down from a high-level overview to the most granular details.

Step 1: Set Your Filters

At the top of the page, you'll find the control panel. Start here to select:

  • Ad Account: Choose the account you want to analyze.
  • Date Range: Select the time period for your analysis.
  • Metrics: Pick the KPIs you care about most, like CTR, Cost per Result, or Impressions.

Step 2: Drill Down to Your Creatives

The main part of the screen is an expandable table. It's organized in a hierarchy:

  1. Campaign Groups: You'll start with a list of your campaign groups.
  2. Campaigns: Click the arrow next to a campaign group to see the campaigns inside it.
  3. Creatives: Click the arrow next to a campaign to reveal all the individual ad creatives running within it. This is where the magic happens!

Analyzing Your Creative Performance

Once you've drilled down to the creative level, you can easily spot winners and losers.

  • Color-Coded Performance: Just like the Heatmap, we use color intensity to show you performance at a glance. Darker cells indicate higher values. A legend on the page shows you what the different shades mean (Low, Medium, High).
  • Compare to the Average: The dashboard also compares each creative's performance against the campaign average, helping you quickly identify which ads are true statistical outliers.

Take Action Directly from the Dashboard

Found an ad that's not performing well? Or one that's doing great and you want to let it run? You can take action immediately without ever leaving the page.

  • Pause/Activate Creatives: Next to each creative, you'll see a pause (⏸) or play (▶) button. Just click it to change the creative's status on LinkedIn. The UI will update instantly to give you feedback, and you'll see a confirmation message once the change is complete.
  • Preview Creatives: Want a quick reminder of what the ad looks like? Click the magnifying glass icon (🔍) to see a preview of the creative in a popover.
