Pacing
Ever get that feeling of uncertainty about your campaign spend? Are you spending too fast and risk running out of budget early? Or are you spending too slowly and might not use your full budget by the end of the month?
The Pacing tool is designed to answer exactly these questions. It gives you a clear, visual way to see if your campaigns are spending on track.
How to Use the Pacing Tool
When you navigate to the Pacing area, you'll see a straightforward table listing all the budgets you've set up in Linklo.
- You can use the Ad Account filter at the top to narrow the list down if you manage multiple accounts.
Analyzing a Budget's Pace
The real insight comes when you dive into a specific budget.
- Click the View button or the expand arrow next to any budget in the table.
- The row will expand to reveal a detailed chart that visualizes that budget's spending over time.
This chart shows you two crucial lines:
- Expected Spend: This is the dotted line representing the ideal, steady spending pace to use your budget perfectly over its flight period. It's your target.
- Actual Spend: This is the solid line showing how much you've actually spent.
By comparing these two lines, you can instantly see how you're doing:
- If the 'Actual Spend' line is above 'Expected Spend': You are over-pacing. You're on track to run out of money before the budget period ends.
- If the 'Actual Spend' line is below 'Expected Spend': You are under-pacing. You're spending too slowly and might not use your full budget.
You can hover your mouse over any point on the chart to get the exact spend details for that day.
What to Do with Pacing Insights
- If you're over-pacing: You might need to lower your daily campaign budgets on LinkedIn or use Schedules to pause the campaigns during low-performance hours.
- If you're under-pacing: This is a sign you could be getting more results. You might consider increasing your daily budgets, expanding your audience targeting, or increasing your bids on LinkedIn.
Pacing analysis helps you become a more proactive manager of your ad spend, ensuring every dollar is working as hard as it can.
